Peer Review Process

  1. Authors submit their manuscripts online through the Journal of Innovative Communication Research (JICR) online submission system.

  2. The submitted manuscript will undergo an initial screening by the editorial board to assess its alignment with the journal’s focus and scope, compliance with the prescribed manuscript template and author guidelines, and originality through a plagiarism or similarity check. The similarity index must not exceed 30%.

  3. Manuscripts that meet the requirements regarding focus and scope, manuscript formatting, originality, and the applicable similarity threshold (≤30%) will proceed to the peer-review process.

  4. Manuscripts should generally consist of the following sections: Introduction, Literature Review/Theoretical Framework, Research Methodology, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References. For manuscripts with a theoretical, conceptual, or literature-based approach, the structure may be adjusted according to the nature of the study. Reviewers will evaluate manuscripts based on scientific quality, originality, relevance, methodological rigor, theoretical contribution, and significance to the field of communication.

  5. The peer-review process is conducted in several stages to ensure that submitted manuscripts meet the academic and ethical standards expected by JICR. Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ and editors’ comments.

  6. Following the completion of the review and revision process, the editor will make the final decision regarding the manuscript, which may include acceptance, revision, or rejection.

  7. If the manuscript is accepted for publication, the editor will contact the corresponding author to confirm the publication process and ensure that all required publication procedures have been completed.

  8. Authors are required to create an account on the JICR online submission system by providing the requested personal, institutional, and academic information. Authors must ensure that all information and metadata submitted are complete and accurate.
