The Journal of Reflective Education (JRE) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics in all aspects of the editorial and publishing process. These ethical guidelines are based on internationally recognized standards to ensure the integrity, credibility, and quality of scholarly publications in the field of education.

Responsibilities of Authors

1. Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is original and has not been previously published or is not under consideration elsewhere.
Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited.
All sources must be properly cited in accordance with accepted academic standards.
The similarity index must not exceed 30%.

2. Authorship
All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research and writing process.
The order of authors should reflect their contributions.
Gift authorship is not permitted.
Any changes to authorship after submission must be approved by all authors involved.

3. Conflict of Interest
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the results or interpretation of the manuscript.
All sources of funding must be clearly acknowledged.
Relevant financial or personal relationships must be disclosed.

4. Data Integrity
Authors must present accurate and verifiable data.
Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data is strictly prohibited.
Authors should retain raw data and be prepared to provide it upon request.

Responsibilities of Editors

1. Editorial Decisions
Editors are responsible for deciding which manuscripts are accepted based on their academic merit, originality, relevance, and alignment with the journal’s scope in education.
Editorial decisions must be free from commercial, political, or personal influence.
The review process must be conducted fairly and transparently.

2. Confidentiality
Editors must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts.
Information should only be shared with reviewers and relevant editorial staff.
Editors must not use unpublished materials for personal advantage.

3. Conflict of Interest
Editors must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in cases of conflict of interest.
Such conflicts may arise from personal, professional, or financial relationships.
Responsibility should be delegated to another editor when necessary.

4. Corrections and Retractions
Editors must publish corrections when significant errors are identified.
Retractions should be issued in cases of serious ethical violations.
Clear and transparent explanations must accompany corrections or retractions.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

1. Expertise and Objectivity
Reviewers should only accept manuscripts within their area of expertise.
Reviews must be objective, constructive, and free from bias.
Reviewers should decline assignments if they lack expertise or sufficient time.

2. Confidentiality
Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents.
Unpublished materials must not be used for personal benefit.
Manuscripts must not be shared or discussed without permission from the editor.

3. Conflict of Interest
Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
They should decline the review if objectivity may be compromised.
Reviewers must not use their position for personal gain.

The publisher operates in an ethical and transparent manner.
It does not prioritize profit over academic quality.
