Publication Ethic

The Journal of Economic Literacy and Research (JELR) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics in all aspects of the editorial and publishing process. These ethical guidelines are based on international standards and are designed to ensure the integrity, credibility, and quality of scholarly publications.

Responsibilities of Authors

1. Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is original and has not been previously published.
Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited.
All sources and works of others must be properly cited in accordance with accepted citation standards.
The similarity index must not exceed 30%.

2. Authorship
All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research.
The order of authors should reflect their respective contributions.
Gift authorship is not permitted.
Any changes to authorship after submission must be approved by all parties involved.

3. Conflict of Interest
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the research.
Sources of research funding must be clearly acknowledged.
Any relevant financial or personal relationships must be disclosed.

4. Data Integrity
Research data must be accurate, complete, and verifiable.
Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data is strictly prohibited.
Authors must retain raw data for verification if required.

Responsibilities of Editors

1. Editorial Decisions
Editors make decisions based on the scientific quality, relevance, and alignment with the journal’s scope.
Editorial decisions must not be influenced by commercial, political, or personal interests.
The evaluation process must be fair and transparent.

2. Confidentiality
Editors must maintain the confidentiality of all information regarding submitted manuscripts.
Information about manuscripts should only be shared with authorized parties involved in the review process.
Editors must not use unpublished materials for personal advantage.

3. Conflict of Interest
Editors must withdraw from handling manuscripts in cases of conflict of interest.
Conflicts may include personal, professional, or financial relationships with authors.
In such cases, editorial responsibility must be delegated to another editor.

4. Corrections and Retractions
Editors are responsible for publishing corrections when significant errors are identified.
Retractions must be issued in cases of serious ethical violations.
Clear explanations must be provided for any corrections or retractions

Responsibilities of Reviewers

1. Expertise and Objectivity
Reviewers should only accept review assignments within their area of expertise.
Reviews must be conducted objectively, constructively, and without personal bias.
Reviewers should decline assignments if they lack sufficient expertise or time.

2. Confidentiality
Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of all information related to the manuscript.
Unpublished materials must not be used for personal research or advantage.
Manuscripts must not be discussed with others without the editor’s permission.

3. Conflict of Interest
Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest to the editor.
They should decline the review if any relationship may affect objectivity.
Reviewers must not use their position for personal gain.

4. Timeliness and Professionalism
Reviewers must complete reviews within the agreed timeframe.
Feedback should be constructive and helpful to authors.
Communication must remain professional and respectful.

2. Access and Preservation
The publisher ensures accessibility of published articles.
It maintains long-term digital archiving and preservation.
It supports open access principles in accordance with journal policies.

3. Business Ethics
The publisher conducts business practices in an ethical and transparent manner.
It does not prioritize profit over publication quality.
It provides clear information regarding publication fees (if applicable).
