Author Guidelines
The Journal of Economic Literacy and Research (JELR) welcomes the submission of high-quality manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of economic and financial literacy. Authors are required to follow the guidelines below to ensure a smooth review and publication process.
1. General Requirements
- Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Submissions should align with the focus and scope of JELR.
- Manuscripts must be written in clear and academic English.
- Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the content, data, and references.
2. Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should be organized as follows:
- Title: Clear, concise, and informative (maximum 15 words).
- Author(s) Information: Full name(s), institutional affiliation(s), and email address of the corresponding author.
- Abstract: 150–250 words summarizing the purpose, method, results, and conclusion.
- Keywords: 3–5 relevant keywords.
- Introduction: Background, research problem, objectives, and significance of the study.
- Research Methodology: Research design, data collection, and analysis methods.
- Results and Discussion: Presentation and interpretation of findings.
- Conclusion: Summary of findings and recommendations.
- References: List of cited works.
3. Formatting Guidelines
- Manuscripts should be prepared using the official JELR template.
- Paper size: A4 (210 x 297 mm).
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt.
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.
- Length: 8–15 pages (including references).
4. Citation and References
- Authors must use a consistent citation style (e.g., APA 7th Edition).
- All references cited in the text must be listed in the reference section.
- Authors are encouraged to use recent and relevant references (preferably from the last 5–10 years).
- Use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
5. Submission Process
- Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system.
- Authors must create an account and complete all required metadata.
- Ensure that the manuscript file is anonymized for the review process (if applicable).
6. Peer Review Process
- All submitted manuscripts undergo a peer-review process.
- JELR applies a double-blind review system, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous.
- The review process may involve revisions before a final decision is made.
7. Publication Fee
- The Article Processing Charge (APC) is IDR 150,000.
- Payment is required only after the manuscript is accepted for publication.
8. Ethical Considerations
- Authors must adhere to publication ethics standards.
- Plagiarism is strictly prohibited, with a similarity index not exceeding 30%.
- Any form of data fabrication or falsification is unacceptable.
9. Copyright and Licensing
- Authors retain copyright of their work.
- Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license.
